Tiny, tiny, tiny and yet picturesquely perfect!
Animator experimentalist Jolan Martinez plays surrealist nursery games with the skill of DangerMouse. His two-minute piece is like a firework that whooshes and startles before dying in the dive.
Killer babies confront each other in a place where rhetoric packs a rod. Insults crash and burn. Their visual landscape changes as The Custard Wars erupt.
Martinez's imagination leaps out of nowhere to create new concepts from an old idea. For such a short film, Pretty Dress can only be admired for its daring and its style.
